摘要

Toyo Engineering Corporation developed a highly active catalyst for steam natural gas reforming.The development had been completed after confirming impacts of the higher activity to reformer designing as well as widely known impacts by improving heat transfer efficiency.The impacts for existing reformers are throughput increase and life extension of reformer tubes,and those for reformer design are dedcreases of tube weight and catalyst volumn.These results simulated using observed kinetics were confirmed by pilot plant operations.
