Toyo Engineering corporation developed thecatalysts as titled above, whose high activity is realized by porestructure having meso pores and macro pores, and by well-dispersed and retained Ni particles. Commercial catalysts arecommonly controlled by the diffusional resistance and showsimilar activities under commercial operating conditions. Thedeveloped catalyst proved by 3-4 times as active as those in 2 yearscommercial operation and deposited carbon on the developedcatalyst was 1/3 of that on a commercial one. The developedcatalyst ahs commercial merits such as tube life extension ofreformer, saving fuel than use of commercial ones. The developedcatalyst can apply to Naphtha feed stock by a combination withpre-reforming catalyst.
