摘要

The Mount Yuntaishan World Geopark, located in the central south of the North China Block, is world-famous for its fancy morphologies formed during the evolution history as long as 3400 Ma. Cambrian strata, the main body of landscape-forming strata of the Geopark, completely recorded the epicontinental sea sedimentation since the transgression at the beginning of the era. The Cambrian sedimentary environments and their evolution of the geopark are primarily analyzed at the bases of synthetic analyses of deposition types, sedimentary structures, as well as fossil assemblages of the Cambrian strata cross-section at Shennongshan scenic area of the geopark.
