摘要

This paper presents the results of experimental and numerical studies of the effect of electric-pulse parameters on the development of current instability and rupture of shaped-charge jets and their penetration into low-density targets. Aluminum was used as the test target material. It was shown that for certain parameters of electric pulses, the jet penetration depth in steel and aluminum targets was practically identical. This provides great opportunities for low-density materials to be used for protection against shaped charges.
