The great success of the- Ziegler-Natta catalyst during the 80s was the development of highly efficient supported catalytic systems, which had very high activities for olefins homopolymerization and could also produce highly stereoregular products. These supported catalysts attracted considerable attention in the developing of new types of polymers with particular properties through co- or terpolymerization, such as the development of LLDPE. In recent years, the co- and terpolymerization of propyiene with other α-olefins was of great commercial and practical importance to improve the physical and mechanical properties of propyiene homopolymers.
