TENTATIVE RESEARCH OF APCYNUM VENETUM FAST CHEMICAL DEGUMMING

pocynum venetum, a new favorite in natural fibers kingdom, contains several medical ingredients. Clothes made of Apocynum venetum not only possess bast fibers' properties, but-also cure diseases and keep people healthy. So many experts believe that Apocynum venetum fiber is the ideal textile fiber. At present, most Apocynum venetum textile enterprises in China use chemical degumming technology and consult the mature ramie chemical degumming technology. They carry on firstly vitriol pre-impregnation and then twice alkali boiling. But this technology is not ideal. This paper mainly deals with the experiments of Apocynum venetum degumming method, which pre-impregnated Apocynum venetum with hydrogen perixide, hydrogen perocide and urea or sodium hypochlorite and then scoured it two times. The results of these experiments are compared to those of traditional method with vitriol pre-impregnated. On the base of the experiments, a new technology of Apocynum venetum fast chemical degumming, which pre-impregnated Apocynum venetum with hydrogen peroxide and urea and then scoured it two times, is proposed. This method will be fairly suitable for the future of Apocynum venetum textile industry.
