Study on Development Patterns of Rural Tourism in China

摘要

The paper aims at analyzing the problems of rural tourism in China and discussing current patterns. By means of careful field observations, in depth interviews and analysis of available literature, the advantages and disadvantages of each pattern could be shown. The facts and study lead to the following conclusions: major problems include too much stress on economic impact, superficial knowledge of rural tourism, insufficient interaction and exchange; it is feasible to do independent business by farmer families or outside investors, or to do joint business by relevant parties. The study is helpful to explore more practical and successful patterns in the future.
