In this paper, we present the deformation measurements in volcanic area with consideration of atmospheric delay corrections using multi-stack persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI). The 3-D numerical weather model data from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is used to estimate the atmospheric delay along the SAR observation ray. A validation is performed for the weather model data based atmospheric delay by comparison with the total zenith delay (ZPD) measurements from the Regional Reference Frame Sub-Commission for Europe (EUREF) permanent GNSS network. The slant range delay (SPD) on each persistent scatterer (PS) is estimated and the atmospheric phase in the differential interferogram is calculated and compensated before the PS estimation. An evident improvement of the deformation results are shown in the paper.
