Cyprodinil: a new fungicide with broad-spectum activity

Cyprodinil is a new fungicide for the contotl of a broad spectrum of plant diseases.COntorl of major cereal diseases and of Botrytis cinerea ssp.on grapses nd vegetables are the major strengths of cyprodinil.THe careful analysis of physico-chemical properites of certiain sulfronyluras and the ocnsistent testing of all compounds as fungicides,bherbicides and insecticides led to the discovery of the class of compounds and led to cyporodinil.Aspects of chemcistry,strucutre activity considerations,ecologicla and sea=fety assessments are presented to demonstrate the unique properties of cyprodinil which make it ia verysatile new tool for the managemnt of plant diseases.
