The effects and changing laws of the restaurant in residence quarters in china city were studied by using methods of inverstigation and live monitoring in this paper. The results show that: (1) when the coal mixed by scattered and shaped coal is burned in restaurants, the atmosphere in regional environment is polluted by the pollution factor exhausted from restaurants. (2) The nearer the restaurant is, the more serious the polluted degree. (3) The exceeding standard value of pollution factors is arranged in order: benzopyrene > TSP > NO_x > SO_2> Noise. (4) After the control measures are applied by the restaurant, the improvement has been made obviously in the air quality.
