This is a reflection of the successful application of the basic principles of interactivernlanguage teaching to the intensive reading classroom. Communication is interactionrnbetween people who have something to share. If communication is the objective of foreignrnlanguage teaching, then interaction must be present. If skillfully handled, interactivernclassroom techniques can promote learner initiative and autonomy, which in turn ensurernsuccessful language learning.
