摘要

We demonstrated mutual injection locking and coherent beam combining of two individual lasers in a compound cavity configuration. Under mutual injection locking, the combined output contains one lasing wavelength with a higher power than the sum of two individual laser powers, and the mutual spatial coherence between the two laser beams is close to the spatial coherence of the single laser beam. Theoretical calculations show that optimization of the resonator parameters can give both large output power and large mutual coupling strength.
