Coherent combining method for laser beams using optical injection of reference laser light for synchronizing frequency and phase of each laser source

The combining method has reference laser light from a reference laser (20) optically injected into the laser sources (10,11,12) providing the laser beams, for synchronizing the frequency and phase of each laser source with the reference laser source. A partial beam obtained from the output beam of the beam combining device (30) is fed to a detector (41) providing a monitor signal representing the relative phase between the laser beams, used for controlling a phase setting device (42).
