English Should Play an Important Role in Enhancing Nation's Soft Power

摘要

This passage is focusing on how English can help to enhance our nation's soft power by embedding positive psychology into English teaching for Non-English Major Graduate students in China.This Positive Psychology--based Second language Acquisition Model is focusing on improving student's English proficiency as well as promoting student's "well-being" by positive psychology intervention (self-identification; adversity-coping; gratitude drills,problem-solution,happiness raising)in non-major Graduate English class,which expect to witness a positive transformation of each individual,and it will ultimately enhance nation's soft power since every one is a living advertising for our nation's soft power.The author designed a "pretest-positive psychology input-output-positive transformation" pattern of English acquisition Model.
