The international standard ISO 14635-3 [1] offers a method to investigate the wear behavior of grease lubricated gears in the FZG back-to-back test rig. Some studies have also identified the lubrication supply mechanisms 'channeling' and 'circulating' to affect the wear intensity considerably.
