摘要

The present study provides evidence that the size and density of nanoscale surface features affect the type and amount of proteins adsorbed onto material surfaces, and thus modulate cell functions such as adhesion. This evidence, therefore, corroborates the use of nanostructured materials for biomedical applications because development of well-characterized nanoscale interfaces could lead to improved biocompatibility of such novel biomaterial formulations.
