摘要

At a concentration of 200μg/mL, lubricin decreased S. aureus and S. epidermidis adhesion and proliferation. However, mucin appeared to have a greater effect at reducing the quantified biofilm after 24hours. The results with mucin and vitronectin indicate that the bacteriostatic nature of lubricin. Thus lubricin should be further studied for antibacterial applications.
