New Learning Environment using Large Projection Display and 3D sound and VR content

摘要

Recent progress in computer processing power, display and graphic capability have endowed computers with considerable potential as educational tools. NTT has introduced a new learning system named COLLVIRS (COLlaborative Learning system employing Virtual Reality Spaces), which consists of a large projection display with high definition resolution, super graphic processors, and VR contents. The central problem is how to provide VR contents to students and what scale of the physical environment is necessary for future education.
