Development of Low Temperature Frit Glass for CRTs

摘要

The development of low-temperature frit glass for sealing CRT bulbs is described. The frit glass is a vitreous composite type of material, or a mixture of non-crystallizing glass powder in the PbO-ZnO-B_2O_3 system, and alumina and zircon admixtures. Flat CRT bulbs sealed with the frit glass at 420℃ for 10 minutes gave good seal geometry and high bulb strength. The frit glass showed a capacity to stand an exhaust cycle up to 340℃.
