摘要

Here we propose a novel method to prepare Zn_2SiO_4:Mn~(2+) using porous silicon as the template and at the same time the Si ingredient. It is basically a technique to activate porous silicon layer by growing luminescent Zn_2SiO_4:Mn~(2+) particles inside an oxidized porous silicon body. This method has the potential to use the already established silicon technology, and can take advantage of the flexibility which porous silicon formation provides in deciding on pore size, pore density as well as formation of multilayer structures. We have been able to make samples with green and yellow luminescence, both from Zn_2SiO_4:Mn, by deciding on the pore size and preparation parameters.
