This paper will briefly describe a low power (< 300 W), low mass (4 kg), versatile Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU), to be used in small satellites (100-200 kg). These small satellites aim at satisfying the scientific community or any other potential user by providing an easier access to space: they carry less instruments, but they cost much less and are built more quickly than "traditional" scientific observation satellites. The PCDU has been designed to meet these goals, by using simple, robust topologies, by taking advantage of the latest technologies and by a special focus on the distribution part, which covers all the Platform (PF) and Payload (PL) needs, including the Pyro lines, AOCS commands, and which can be easily tailored to specific needs (58 programmable lines are available). At last, the PCDU exhibits extremely low conducted emissions at the power leads of the Solar Array Generator (SAG), making it suitable for sensitive scientific experiments.
