摘要

Conditonal accident probability values and radionuclide release fractions for accidents of differing severities are important input parameters used in transportation risk assessments. These assessments are an important component of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 documentation evaluating the environmental impacts associated with the transportation of spent nuclear fuel. However, since two different models of conditional accient probability and radionuclide release fraction are currently used, there is some confusion in the technical community.
