Abstract: It was shown that the acoustic emission (AE) intensity decreases with the increase of the temperature and relaxation of the preliminary deformation of the InP crystals and alternatively sharply enhances with the predeformation degree rise. The results obtained allowed to conclude that the emission process of acoustic waves is tightly related to both the deformation stresses and structure state of defects, characterizing the starting InP crystals before the AE initiation by microindentation. !21
