摘要

The strain rate effect for soft soils was investigated by Constant Rate of Strain (CRS) oedometer test, where the strain rate is changed for an identical same specimen during test. The strain rate dependency for various soils in Hokkaido Island, i.e., peat, organic soil and ordinary clay was compared. It is found that the rate effect dependency is correlated to ignition loss (Li).
