This article evaluates the status of the development of national highway and waterway transportation, considers science and technology has played a more important role in the development of transportation, and regards the current implemented science and technology strategy is reasonable. Then it analyzes the situation of transport development in the next 15 years, proposes the guideline and general goal of science and technology strategy, and fixes on the direction and emphasis of science and technology development of transportation.
