GATAS: Embedded acoustic detection and classification buoy system

摘要

Today vessels detection, signal analyzing and classification processes are done using sonobuoy with high voluminous signal processing hardware by operator in the platforms. GATAS, which has smaller volume and hardware embedded on buoy, transmits knowledges of vessels detection, classification, moving direction information to the receiver unit located onshore or on a watercraft. Thus, requirement of analysis hardware and operator in the receiver unit aren't needed and amount of transmitting data is decreased.
