Abstract: This paper deals with global track initiation problem and our purpose is to apply a quite efficient method canned the Multiple Hypothesis Filter to solve it. This original measurement-oriented approach in its optimal version leads to an ever-expanding tree and to a computational problem so that some reduction procedures have to be applied. We first present a state-of-the-art of methods that propose solutions to the hypothesis control problem. Then, we introduce a new criterion in order to control pruning action and avoid losing important information.!13
