Development of kink-resistant Non-Halogen Flame-Retardant Optical Fiber Cord

Environmental concerns have intensified the demand to stop the use of polyvinyl chlorides (PVC) in recent years, and have fueled the conversion to non-halogen materials. We have developed a Non-Halogen Flame-Retardant (NH-FR) optical fiber cord with excellent kink-resistance in the small 1.5 mm diameter size, which is the anticipated size for equipment interconnection applications.
