In the framework of Culture-MERIS project, thernEuropean Space Agency (ESA) initiated a Near-Real-rnTime (NRT) service, for the provision of weeklyrnaveraged land surface reflectance composites ofrnMERIS FR 300 m in the RGB and NIR bands [1].rnGiven the recent interruption of ENVISAT services,rnESA is now concentrating on backlog processing of therncomplete 10-year archive to Culture-MERIS level 3rnproducts. This should produce a robust multi-yearrnbenchmark dataset for land applications. The use of thernAccurate MERIS Ortho-Rectified Geo-locationrnOperational Software (AMORGOS) tool, ensures highrnrelative and absolute geolocation accuracy [2], which isrnrequired for multi-temporal remote sensing studies.rnRecent analysis on the Culture-MERIS products ofrn2011, show very good agreement with other similarrnland surface reflectance datasets [3].
