IC Device Technology for the Next Century

摘要

This paper presents an analysis of the future of the scaling of CMOS technology using both technological and economic considerations. It is proposed that CMOS technology can serve the electronics needs of most of the 21~(st) century. This analysis also provides a backdrop for evaluating the need for unconventional devices.
