Non-catalyst MFC systems can effectively and sustainably produce power,and cost relatively low compared to catalyzed MFCs. In this study,we developed a dynamic-membrane non-catalyst cathode microbial fuel cell (DNCMFC) continuously fed by glucose-based substrates. The maximal power outputs obtained were 2123m W m-3 total volume of reactor (3.3L) in an optimized operational condition. The resistant of dynamic-membrane of about 2Ω contribute little to the total reactor resistant of 16Ω.It is shown that power production of noncatalyst MFC systems can be significantly increased by optimizing reaction condition and using dynamic-membrane as separator.
