Web crippling is the dominating failure mode for the introduction of concentrated loads in thinwalled trapezoidally sheeting. From full scale web crippling tests, carried out at TU Berlin. the failure mode can be observed. This failure mode depends too on the overhanging portion u of the profils with regard to the end support of continuous beams. Following the observations an analysis model was derived where the interaction between flexural buckling and plate buckling is accounted for. The model is first evaluated for different profiles of trapezoidally sheeting where test results are available (E40, E85, E100). The evaluation is extended to other profiles and wall thickness where the different failure modes are identified.
