Purpose: The purpose of this article was to characterize the thermo- and pH-responsive properties of the micelles constructed from copolymer of poly(LHistidine)-b-poly(DL-lactide-co-glycolide)-b-poly (ethylene glycol)-b-poly (DL-lactide-co-glycolide)-bpoly(L-Histidine). Methods: The temperature and pHinduced structure change of the micelles were characterized by an alternation in particle size, a decrease in pyrene florescence intensity and in vitro drug release. Results: The micells showed a temperature- and pH-dependent structural change and drug release profiles. Conclusion: The micelles are feature with thermo- and pH-sensitive properties, which may have great potential to be a smart carrier for anti-cancer drugs.
