The article analyzes the spatial distribution of cesium-137 in soils of the southeast of the Tomsk region, as well as the sources of the radionuclide in question into the soil and the reasons for its increased concentration. With the help of modern geoinformation technologies (GIS), a typological evaluation map of soils 1: 1000000 scale is compiled. The remote method for detection of raised soil radioactivity is presented.
