Various applications have been used to teach object-oriented programming to beginners. In our experience, the tools currently available are not designed to increase the involvement and attraction of the non-majored students. In this paper, we propose Dragon Drop, a drag-and-drop programming environment, designed for introduction-level programming students who have no prior programming experience. Dragon Drop allows them to focus more on logical problem solving while also presenting the student with the syntax of the program they are constructing. For the more advanced students, the program allows them to modify the source code directly. Survey completed by the Introduction to Programming students after using Dragon Drop revealed that 53% of the students found the application beneficial and preferred using it over their current programming environment.
