摘要

The microstnicture and elastic behavior of Al-20 wt.% sn alloy prepared by mechanical alloying was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and nanoindentation,respectively. The present work shows that nanophase composite structured Al-20 wt.% Sn alloy can be formed and controlled by mechanical alloying and subsequent sintering process. The elastic behavior of nanophase composite struc tured Al-20 wt% sn alloy is related to porosity of the samples. The elastic moduli of the alloys decrease linearly with increase of porosity.
