To improve SLA part building accuracy and reduce part curl distortion, the understanding about the relationship between building parameters and curl distortion is essential. The statistical models representing the relationship do not agree very well with the experiments. In this paper, an exposure based analysis si used to obtain the surface exposure index. Experiments show that the part curl distortion is strongly correlated to the surface exposure index. The average prediction error sing this model is 5.29
