摘要

The influence of microstructure degradation of A335 P5 grade ferritic alloy steel on the acoustic emission (AE), generated by the plastic deformation and fracture processes during static axial tension unnotched and notched specimens was investigated in this paper. The materials were cut out from seamless furnace coil pipe of the crude oil distillation unit, operated for many years in the petroleum refining processes. Comparative analysis of AE activity from unnotched and notched specimens machined from degraded and new materials has been carried out.
