FIELD: study of materials. SUBSTANCE: method of acoustic emission determination of moment of origin of initial plastic deformation is realized by measurement of signals of acoustic emission with impression of indenter in zone of its impression. In this case dependence " impression force-summary number of pulses of acoustic emission" is established and beginning of change of trend of this dependence is taken as moment of origin of initial plastic deformation.
