This paper shows the advances in the development of MicroMachine Tools (MMT) in Mexico. Since 1999 the Group of Micromechanics and Mechatronics (GMM) has been testing configurations in order to improve resolution and achieve better precision characteristics. Two novel prototypes are shown. One, based on a Bridge-type configuration, and the other consists on a parallel mechanism arrangement.
