The Savannah River Site (SRS) Receiving Basin for Offsite Fuel (RBOF) is currently used to store fresh and spent nuclear fuel from a variety of domestic and foreign research reactors. As part of the accident analysis chapter of a DOE 5480.23 Safety Analysis Report (SAR) for RBOF, the combined frequency of occurrence for process error-induced criticalities was quantified using a combination of qualitative hazard analysis, quantitative fault tree analysis, and explicit criticality calculations. Using these analyses techniques, the frequency of process error-induced criticality at RBOF was estimated to be 8E-04 yr~(-1).
