Understanding competitive advantage and market entry issues of the immense Chinese insurance markets rnwithin a framework of changing competitive factors are the foci of this infant industry analysis. Primarily rndesigned as an application-oriented tool for domestic insurers seeking foreign market-entry, we examine rn(dis)advantages of various market entry strategies. Growth potential contributes to an attractive environment rnfor firms seeking new market entry. Environmental factor analysis (e.g., regulation, consumer confidence) is rnfundamental to understanding strategic options available to firms as they develop strategic intent, missions rnand actions for creating sustainable competitive advantage in Chinese insurance markets.
