Damages of the marine seabed crude oil pipelines can be caused by different reasons, for example, fall of heavy subject from sea surface or earthquake. In outcome, the oil in form of small-sized drops will leak through the formed fractures-wormholes in the marine environment. It will produce small but appreciable loses of transported oil, and also unfavorable environmental impact. Because of small intensity, detection of such oil leaks on the depth near pipeline is the complicated engineering problem. Paper presents the argumentations and description of the original physical model of oil drops floating and dissolution in seawater environment. It also contains the outcomes of computer simulation that illustrate main features of oil droplets dynamics in the upper sea layer. Presented materials show that place of the oil slick forming can be on great distance from place of pipeline damage and enables to understand also the process of self-liquidation of emergency oil spills.
