SCIAMACHY H_2O column validation by the Atmospheric Chemistry Validation Team

Comparisons have been performed for two nonoperationalrnSCIAMACHY H_2O products with sondernmeasurements performed at different stations, ECMWFrnReanalysis data (ERA) and ATOVS satelliternmeasurements. Both retrieval methods show waterrnvapour columns that are systematically lower thanrncorrelative measurements. The main reasons for thisrnoffset are thought not to be algorithm related.
