摘要

It is well-known that the singular stress occurs at the interfacial edge of dissimilar materials under some combinations of materials and geometric configurations. For this case, it is important to clarify the accuracy of stress distributions in the neighborhood of the edge from the viewpoint of strength evaluation, and a lot of papers have been published. The boundary element method has inherent weakness that infinite values are evaluated as finite ones for singular problems. This weakness affects the analytical accuracy of stress distributions in the neighborhood of the interfacial edge. We deal with the problem paying attention to the sub-element especially and these results are examined by comparing with theoretical analyses.
