Professor Julian Szekely will long be remembered for his contributions to the mathematical modeling of plasma flows.A review is presented in this paper of advances in the mathematical modeling of plasma systems.The inductively coupled radio frequency(r.f) plasma is considered for its relevance to technological and fundamental studies.It also offers the added complexity and challenge of dealing with both laminar and turbulent flow fegions in the some flow field Preliminary results are presented for the comprehension simulation of the r.f. plasma torch and the power supply system.
