Applications of mathematical models in solidification

摘要

Prof.Szekely was one of the first researchers to extensively apply numerical modeling methods to materials processing.In this paper,numerical solidification process models are discussed.the role played by the disparate length scales of nucleation,growth,coarsening and heat transfer in process modeling is described,with an emphasis on methods for providing solution accuracy and predictability.
