Morphological and molecular systematics of the rhizopus microsporus group

摘要

Members of the genus Rhizopus are closely related to mankind in many aspects. Industrially they are important fermentation agents, especially in food industry. Agriculturally they cause decay of plant products in transit and storage, and under favorable condition they cause diseases in plants. Medically they are capable of producing or catalyzing the formation of important medicines, and the found as causes of mucormycosis in man and animals.
