Chemokine synthesis and histopathological responses in pulmonary infection with cryptococcus neoformans

摘要

Crytoccus neformans primarily infects lungs and produces granulomatous and infiltrative lesions. We elucidated the mechanisms involved in the develoment of lung lesions in cryptococcosis by comparing the histopathological finding and cchemokine responses in the lungs of mice infected with C. neoformans and examined the effect of IL-12 which protects mice from lethal infection.
