摘要

How to implement the automation and intelligence of engineering design has been an important researching issue. Through analyzing the existing problems during engineering design and requirements of future design system, a new method of engineering design , knowledge-based engineering (KBE), is introduced in this paper. KBE can effectively share engineering knowledge throughout the enterprise and makes design process intelligent. Its key technology, application status, difficulties existing in the implement process and future trend are well analyzed and synthesized.
